The study also doesn't really factor in the fact that most of the teams above us have signed a lot of highly rated individuals within the blue chip subset while we consistently dabble in the just barely making the cut portion of the pot. A 5* is a 5* but theres a huge difference between the 4*s the contenders are signing compared to the majority of the ones we get.

Our "Top 150" numbers are atrocious. I doubt we are top 10. The elite teams are killing us two to one in blue chippers but 3-4:1 on the Top 150s.

Our DC's resume is that he is the worst 3rd down DC in modern history for every year of the last decade plus.

So different than mediocre offense and zero defense, top 15 recruiting.
