It is very likely that Frost and NEB will finish with just 1 win on the season - Bethune-Cookman.
I'll take Bethune-Cookman with the points.

This seems to be the prevailing sentiment here. I'm not convinced. I think most of that derives from everyone's prognostications that Frost would be a good coach. I think most of you are just protecting your picks. You don't wanna be wrong about this guy.Mark my words, given time Frost will have them competing.
Kelly is another story.
But I'm so glad we have Mullen. And I have eaten a lot of crow. He was not my first pick. But again, he has matured as a coach.
Frost's best decision would have been to stay at UCF...
I actually think it will be interesting to see how things go for both of these guys.
I've seen a brief segments of a couple UCLA games and the offense looks decent as far as getting the plays off quickly without penalties, O-linemen doing the correct gap scheme blocking, QB or back making right read and run or pass, or at least as far as I can tell not having a lot of knowledge on it. But what I see is the players flat out suck from the QB to backs and wideouts, linemen, etc. And they look even worse on the defensive side, so the only way Kelly has a chance is to revamp most of the roster. And so far it looks like his recruiting sucks so not sure how they will turn it around.
I haven't seen any of Frost's Neb games. I'm assuming it is probably a lot of the same thing, that is they don't have the players and he is finding out it's a lot different playing in a Power 5 conference where even the bottom feeders can play, and upset you if you aren't prepared (think Vandy, dammit we better win this game).
I didn't expect to be saying this, but I was wrong in wanting either of those guys, and being pissed about the Mullen hire. It looks like we actually ended up with the best man for the job after all.
Sometimes you just have to let your pie hole stuffed douchebag mean girl run free.
Also, when you're a man, sometimes you must wear stretchy pants in your room.
Did Rog write that for you?
I do think Frost is more likely to eventually turn things around. But I also tend to agree with Ox that he likely does already regret making that move, and isn't likely to ever see the success he could've had at a place like UF. He went with his heart, which is admirable. But he's in uncharted waters at this point in terms of openly admitting that things may actually get worse before they get better. I don't think he had any clue he'd be saying things like this mid-season, and I think he'll find that turning around a P5 school with no geographical advantages is considerably harder than a G5 school that sits in the middle of Florida and faces UAB/Tulane caliber programs each week.
With Kelly, there's really only two options. These coaching decisions aren't based on mystery of the circumstances. He either knew all along that Ucla did not have the skill to effectively run his system, that he'd lose a lot of games as a result, and was ok putting out garbage for at least a year or more. That really speaks to his commitment and competitive nature. Championship contenders can't stomach the thought of losing. The idea that you'd voluntarily take a job knowing that you'd be doing just that for at least a full season is borderline unthinkable to anyone who I'd want at UF. The only other explanation for him is that things have changed drastically in the past 6 years and he thought he'd just waltz in and own the Pac12, which is clearly not the case. But whether he truly just ran to a losing program to avoid having to play games like Lsu and uga, or whether he's just lost an edge, I'm thrilled we didn't hire him.
And this is also very unfamiliar territory for him as well. Yes, he took Oregon to that next level. But he was a seamless transition hire that took over a program already playing very well. The only rebuild we've ever seen from him is the dismantling of Philly's roster, where talent was shipped out for a combination of bad fits(Bradford, Murray) and just poor talent(Alonso), which the Eagles had to completely undo under Pederson.
In any event, I don't think there's any chance we see some of the performances so far this season under either of these guys. Games like the last 3, and specifically Lsu, are a direct credit to Mullen's SEC experience and his passion for winning.
Yeah, the same 4 themes repeated over and over and over again. So much that many of us suspect he is a bot.Vitriol digs deep, but jealousy is worse. Swonkey has some key/central themes, but is always entertaining.
How can he respond to so many posts and not be a bot or paid Soros shill online troll. Not saying i don’t enjoy the banter.Yeah, the same 4 themes repeated over and over and over again. So much that many of us suspect he is a bot.

Now that Burt has passed, i’m not so sure that theory holds water. Then again, i wouldn’t put it past that damn dirty Nole to have his estate continue the payments. Never thought of Donk as a paid Nole Troll, but makes some sense. Him and Omar seem a lil too chummy if you know what I mean.Paid by Burt Reynolds?
