A couple things I’m piecing together from a friend who’s an insider on the TOS:
They are going to work out every detail possible before announcing.
-Kelly is expected to bring Tom Gamble from Michigan in a player personnel role. Gamble worked with Chip in Philly and SF.
-Kelly will have a massive budget for assistants and secondary staff
-Kelly is very demanding and detailed in terms of the infrastructure he needs to do what he wants to accomplish here. It’s going beyond a stand alone facility. If you’ve read anything about Kelly, you’ll know that he’s big on informatics which is lacking in CFB. He thinks he can really expose this inefficiency in CFB . In other words, Kelly is a football mad scientist and wants to make sure UF provides the lab materials.
-Spurrier has come around on Kelly
Also,From Neil Blackmon on bill king this AM:
-expect Seider to be retained and maybe Brad Davis
-President Fuchs and Stricklin are enamored with Randy Shannon and would like him to stay on in some fashion. It’s ultimately up to Chip what role RS would have the program. Many expect RS to leave if he’s given a role that doesn’t involve him being an on the field coach.
Uf has been heavily negotiating a liquided damages provision in the event Chip lands UF on probation.
