Because they've only got one game left.IMO why not ride it out one more game unless they felt they needed to get into the CK sweepstakes right away? What's curious about a team that was expected to fire their coach firing him right after a loss to their biggest rival?
Lots of assumption in your post about Kelly not being able to solve SEC defenses. If we try to hire Kelly and UCLA tries to hire Kelly, assume most things equal, and for argument sake, lets say Kelly selects to become HC at UCLA, then we really don't want him anyway. I think Chip would prefer a high paying Big 12 or Pac 12 job where defenses are so rare, they are almost impossible to find. I am not a Kelly guy, but would understand if we hired him. I would prefer an overall deeper thinker about football, who will not get flustered on weekly basis when games are more rough and tumble. Close games that are high scoring are less taxing on a coach and he does not feel he has to manage the game as closely. In the SEC, one mistake from the coach can cost you the game.
I'm not saying they won't contact Kelly as they should.Because they've only got one game left.IMO why not ride it out one more game unless they felt they needed to get into the CK sweepstakes right away?
If this is fact, I ow you a beer, and all my ox bucks my man.Since I saw it on reddit it ain’t stealing:
247 update:
Believe Florida is meeting with Chip today and they are going to sign on the deal.
He must have confirmed his earlier lead to report this.
Done deal
I'm starting a class-action lawsuit against Gator Chatter Admins for irresponsible reporting causing emotional distress. We're demanding 10 million Oxbucks for our pain and suffering. This is not going to end well

Based on what I've seen of late, I think he'd be slicing and dicing his way to stupidly high numbers.
Ray Handley is a name that keeps being floated around. He supposedly wants to get back into coaching.
Dude will you get off the Hugh Jackson thing already!Former UF player that I’m friends with his sister, who played for Hue Jackson has confirmed that he’s been talking to stricklin.
His agent has other clients. Some say he's signing today, and some saying his agent ( who is a UCLA alum) is meeting with UCLA today.
