Yeah, but if he has played 5 games he can't redshirt. If you are a senior especially it matters.
Under the old rules, his season and career would be over.
I only trust 'crete when it comes to redshirt rules.

Did he ever start a Sophomore over a Junior / Senior in setting outside of injury?
Ole Crete had it figured out that Butters was trying to save Greer for his 6th year. I would have never figured that out on my own.I only trust 'crete when it comes to redshirt rules.
Exactly. So is this another QB transfer we're going to follow in a 159 page thread, then meltdown when he doesn't pick UF?
Let me know when a few of those 5-star OL in Bama's 3 deep start transferring.
No doubt!Makes you wonder why Slev had that in his bag of tricks, huh?
There were some rumors floating Georgia that Fromm tore up his ACL in practice. They were probably spread by Tenn fans :).That is a crazy situation. I doubt he will be redshirted now as he has already played in the first 4 games and the other QB on the roster is a walk on I think so they need Fields if Fromm has to come out of the game.
I think he made a mistake going there as he might only get one year as the starter unless they get another situation like the one that put Fromm in as the starter.
He’ll NEVER live that one down.I only trust 'crete when it comes to redshirt rules.
When have we ever had a transfer quarterback work out?
UUhhh.. At least one who transferred to US.....
I'm not real sure that qualifies Del Rio as a success...Just sayin'..Well Del Rio was 6-1 as a starter and also came in to save us in the KY game last season. :D

DelRio is one of the top 3 Gator QBs of the decade.I'm not real sure that qualifies Del Rio as a success...Just sayin'..
Didn't say I didn't want him, just said the ones we've had haven't worked nearly as well as the ones who left...Silly argument. We’ve never had the chance to recruit a kid that is 16-2 as a starter at his previous school. Kids with that kind of success rarely ever transfer. You guys are foolish to not want a guy that has been that successful, transfer or not.
Burro... yeah, no one wants a donkey...Every time some schlub QB is set to transfer, we have one of these massive threads with everyone crossing their fingers and hoping. I guess I could understand it if the guy transferring had reported interest in UF, but they never do. This dude will never even have UF under consideration, and this coaching staff probably wouldn't pursue him if he did. This is all meaningless, pointless blather.
And dorks are still bringing up Joe Burrow? The dude SUCKS, completing less than half his passes. They are winning in spite of him, not because of him. Franks is better and I'd take him over Burrows any day; looking forward to Franks completely outplaying him in a couple of weeks.
Since we have no chance at these guys, these threads turn into nothing but a battleground to attack anyone that doesn't "want" the discussed prospect.
This kid has been a mediocrity, period. It's not like he doesn't have top weapons and a top OL - he just hasn't been that good. Now Crete throws out it's because the kid that took his job is not only better than anyone else in college football, he's better than pro QB's.
Sober up, Crete. Maybe it's just entirely possible that this QB isn't that good at the college level. It happens all the time.
He's not coming here, so it's completely moot anyway.
You can have the fantasy, just don't post it here. My ad providers don't like it.Are you going to piss on my Christie Brinkley fantasy as well?
