I'm just ecstatic that Nord, Nussmeir and Kent aren't mentioned in that article!! I'm really curious to see if those three land jobs....more curious to see which program/coach is stupid enough to hire them!

Nuss needs to follow Mac wherever he goes. The two deserve each other forever.

That might be a possibility, but based on performance our RB seem to have pretty decent coaching. If he does not have a job later he would be great to have on the "bench".

He'd need a title. Unfortunately it looks like neither one of them has ever coached special teams.

I hope this means Buckley is coming. Yes, he's a Nole and Mississippi is home so he's likely staying put; but tapping his Super Bowl ring on the sofa arm in front of momma in some Liberty City living room couldn't hurt.

Bell was basically hired because he had deep connections to the SFla scene. I know Luther Campbell was having a meltdown prior to this hire.

Can one of you rules experts clarify something? I think I heard somewhere that only our on field coaches can have contact with recruits. Some exception was made for OSU, but it has not been granted in any other case. Is that part about the on field coaches accurate?

Yes generally but the rules are complex, ie incidental contracts, contacts initiated by the recruit, etc. I dont pretend to know but there would be no reason to fire them until the replacement is available.
