This is a HUGE game for Houston. They recognize this as a chance to give their program credibility. For FSU, it is meaningless and there is little doubt the NFL bound guys have already checked out. Still, I enjoy watching them get their butts kicked.
I did too. The main reason is in my post above. They also have more talent on offense than FSU does. I figured Houston would simply outscore them. I didn't expect their defense to play as well as it has.
With Herman staying, TA&M turmoil, and UT down, Houston has an opportunity to make a push with their program. Could see Baylor and Houston as the two big programs in Texas in a couple years, who would've ever thought that?
