It weird though. Jeff Scott recruited tampa probably better than anybody in the country when he was at Clemson. I thought he'd kill it thereTampa is a hotbed for recruiting. Someone like him can come in and turn around USF overnight.
I work with a guy that has some connections to the program and he said Scott didn't recruit locally. Haven't looked into it to see if its true but if so, that is a "AR deciding to fling it 40 yards downfield to a man tripled covered instead of running for a 75 yard TD" level headscratcher. It weird though. Liberty?@nflrums: Former #Falcons and #Cowboys HOF Deion Sanders has head coach interest from #Colorado #Liberty #Cincinnati and #SouthFlorida per multiple reports.
Recruiting to a power school is one thing. Building a brand at a struggling school is another. I think Deion could get kids excited about USF. Going to a 12 team playoff system is great for a non power 5 like USF.It weird though. Jeff Scott recruited tampa probably better than anybody in the country when he was at Clemson. I don't see it, honestly. I remember when Charlie strong going there was gonna hurt us in recruiting. Right now he's got the the whole hbcu selling pitch going for him. He's not gonna have that at usf. The playing field is going to be alot more level at usf, no matter how you slice it.Recruiting to a power school is one thing. Not sure how true but this person says they're a reporter for CBS and has 150k followers.
