Florida dominated Georgia 38-20 in 2014 by completing only 3 of 6 pass attempts?

The Heisman Trophy winner with the most professional field goals is Charlie Ward.

The 1928 Gator Football team came one point short of a perfect season.

The Gators were undefeated going into the last game of the season at Tennessee and had been dominant all year long. Rumor was that Vol Coach Neyland watered down the field to slow down the speedy Gators.

Both teams scored 2 TDs but where Tennessee made one extra point, Florida missed both.

Tennessee won by a point, 13 to 12, on a muddy mess of a field.

That Gator team was the highest scoring team in the nation that year.

Alex.
AND that the AA on the team Dale Van Sykle (sp) went on to a big career in Hollywood as a stuntman (saw his name in the credits of a very old sci fi movie once)

UF history of irony. UF played Misery in their first New Years day bowl back in 66? maybe. Down 20-0 in the 4th SOS lead them back to 3 three fourth qtr scores. Went for two each time. Missed each time. The irony? Their PAT man Barfield had the National record holder for PATs made in a row (like 52). The Tampa Tribune had this epitath the following week (tongue in cheek as McEwen loved Graves.)
Here lies Ray Graves
Whom everyone knew
Loved by one and ALL
until he went for two.\

little more
SOS was the first losing QB in the bowl to WIN the MVP and then became the FIRST Heisman winner to give his Heisman to his school (and since then they give two, one to the player and one to the school and ONLY HEISMAN WINNER TO COACH A HEISMAN WINNER.

UT offered SOS a basketball schollie and the GOVERNOR Tennessee told him they would change the offense(football) at UT for him to sign. (he was not going to be a running/blocking QB for UT)

Did you know Florida has won conference championships in at least four sports in all but two seasons since [Jeremy Foley] became athletic director? You do now.

That's over his 23 years to date.
