After MSU there was some concern because, while the D & ST clearly controlled the game, the offense was able to exploit MSU’s soft coverages - and you can’t do that against LSU.
After LSU the team’s toughness was clear, and the offense surprisingly effective against a stout defense.
After Vandy the team’s ability to come back was surprising. Franks looked like a real QB. Vandy’s lack of depth showed, but the comeback was impressive.
And special teams is a world better than the last 3 years.
Yes, I was hopeful at 6-0 in 2015. Yes, I was hopeful at 6-0 in 2012. But this is different. Every position group is improving in every phase of the game. We still have a way to go and could have some rough patches ahead, but the direction is clear. This is more like 2005 in that regard.
