Just thought I'd run this up the flag pole.

I heard few weeks back that LSU wasn't dumping Miles unless they had the next guy locked up. With all the smoke around that guy being Jimbo first, oh the lutz, second who the heck is F$U gonna get? I love that this is happening this week. We couldn't have asked for a better distraction for them and if we beat them just think of all those juicy recruits that will become available.

most people think Jimbo isn't going anywhere due to his son's terminal illness. Stability being most important.

Jimbo ain't leaving for another college job. Why in the world would he? He's in a soft conference and is only out recruited by saban?

Didn't know his son was terminal. Knew he is divorcing the skank he is with.

Also, Candi Fisher doesn't want to go too far away to run up some Gator flagpole as often as possible.

Fanconi's Anemia

Prognosis
Many patients eventually develop acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Older patients are extremely likely to develop head and neck, esophageal, gastrointestinal, vulvar and anal cancers.[21] Patients who have had a successful bone marrow transplant and, thus, are cured of the blood problem associated with FA still must have regular examinations to watch for signs of cancer. Many patients do not reach adulthood.

The overarching medical challenge that Fanconi patients face is a failure of their bone marrow to produce blood cells. In addition, Fanconi patients normally are born with a variety of birth defects. A good number of Fanconi patients have kidney problems, trouble with their eyes, developmental retardation and other serious defects, such as microcephaly (small head). [22]

Are you guys suggesting they have better hospitals in Tallacrappee than Louisiana? I doubt this. Hell, I doubt the kid is being treated in Tallacrappee now. I'm sure he gets flown to some elite specialists.

Let's say Jimbo does go to lsu. Will this hurt our chances with Manuel?

Part of the discussion on Warchant was the possibility of Jimbo going to Texas (if Strong gets fired) because (I assume from the conversation) that Texas has a research facility for Fanconi's. I didn't know the kid was terminal. However that doesn't appear to have slowed down mom's extracurricular activities and of course a football coach is pretty much an absentee dad anyway. Doesn't matter what city you're in to be an absentee dad.

Doesn't the kid travel to Gainesville for treatment?

Always boils down to timing and money. There was undoubtedly a point in his career where Fisher would have jumped at the opportunity to return to Baton Rouge as top dog. With a ring under his belt and money in the bank, would he be as motivated to now? One side says yes, the other no. The issue to do with his son I was not aware of. That could very well rule him out.

Well like it or not his son, I would imagine, is a big part of that equation.
