Wow.
No professional ever trims or cuts a tree from a ladder. Those people were simply idiots.

I have two close relatives who are professional tree surgeons. I've helped them out (on the ground) a few times. It's a very dangerous job.

Cutting those trees with rotten cores is always harrowing.

If I cant reach it with a pole saw while standing on the ground, I’m not doing it. Of course... just need to make sure my truck is parked a little further away.

An oak tree between my house & next door neighbor uprooted during Hurricane Matthew, leaned over with roots exposed and came within inches of crashing into neighbor's bedroom. After googling how, my 2 sons & 1 neighbor (none were pros) climbed on neighbor's roof & began chain sawing from the top down. They did a great job.

I also ended up in the E.R. as I picked up a coquina rock that the hurricane had dislodged & dropped it on my shin. E.R.'s triage & take the worse case 1st....I was #1 over 2 chainsaw injuries. Guess coquina rocks are worse than chainsaws!
