I don't understand why any kid would want to play for "da U". One look at the lack of people in the stands for their "so called" home games should be more than enough to run any smart kids off.

This is another example of message board perceptions replacing reality. The Gators not only offered him before Miami, but they also had him on campus before Miami extended an offer. McElwain offered Lingard a scholarship less than four months after arriving at Florida. In fact, of the 28 offers Lingard has in hand the Gators were the 3rd that he received.

Technically, no one has landed Lingard. Still a long time till that ink dries. Meyer, Fisher, Smart and all the others failed to get that commit as well.
Mac offered immediately after getting here and has had the kid on campus multiple times already. Mac should get credit for this one. He was on it before most others and has worked hard at it. Who knows how it will play out?

Just wait for Miami to implode again this year, not accomplish anything, we'll win the east at minimum and land Lingard. Miami fans are champions of the offseason
