FIU: The Miami Herald reports Florida defensive coordinator Geoff Collins and Florida linebackers coach Randy Shannon are potential candidates for the FIU head coaching job, with FIU interested in them.

However:

FIU: The Sporting News’ Alex Marvez reports Butch Davis is the “front-runner” for the FIU head coaching job. Davis was last a coach in 2010 at North Carolina. Davis and FIU AD Pete Garcia have previously worked together at Miami (FL) and with the Browns. Keep track of FIU updates here.
