Cristiano Ronaldo belongs to a new concept of man that combines sport and porn, according to the essayist who introduced the term metrosexual.

"(Spornosexual is) a fusion of sport and porn,” Mark Simpson told Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia (via Fox Sports). “Cultivating an athletic body as an object of desire, and showing it off on social networks, accumulating sexual partners. It’s a tendency with young men."

Simpson said the concept differs from that of the metrosexual, who focuses on maintaining their physical appearance through grooming, fashion and weightlifting.

"Look at Cristiano Ronaldo: the self-praise of his body. The spornosexual wants to be loved for his body, not for what he does.”
