He doesn't seem like a guy who likes hits... I mean, other than hits on a bong.Treon's already been moved to Safety?

Safety (and corner) are actually pretty easy for freshmen to pickup. Especially safety. You know, deeper than the deepest on most plays.Washington is our worst safety Law.
I'm good with Dawson but Washington, no.

I didn't pick Washington. I just accepted the premise and started typing.
Just like recruiting I don;t buy anything until the ink is dry or the deadline has passed. With that said, regardless of how many underclassmen decide to leave early, we have exactly ONE who will be or has a chance to be a 1st round pick and that is Hargreaves who played horrendously the last 2 games. NONE, I repeat, NONE of the underclassmen who are entering or considering entering the draft (Outside of VHIII), are going to be immediate impact players in the NFL, although maybe some of them might develop into impact players. I personally hope Davis returns b/c I think he can improve as a player which will improve his stock. I also hope Maye and Neal leave b/c I have seen they do not have the ability to improve and do not expect either of them to have any longstanding career in pro football. But I did see somewhere that Neal was ranked as the #2 draft eligible safety by someone which sent me ROFLMAO!
And Duke Dawson and Nick Washington are just waiting to dominate!!!
Our safety situation is starting to look like of LB situation. Tell me again what recruits could come and step in.... Please. I need good news.
Yeah, Harris is terrible. LIke nearly as bad as Morrison who is as bad in coverage as I've ever seen out of a starting LB at UF.
Harris SHOULD find his way to the weight room, not sure he's been there at all in his career, and move to LB.
Nope, he played in 10 games in 2014 and was hurt at the end, I think. He had 45 tackles and 3 picks. A pretty good year for a soph LB.Why couldn't Neal improve? This is his first year playing, no? Just ST last year, right?
No Kidding. Those birds gave up at least one big play every game and Hargraves looked very mediocre at best last couple of games. He couldn't hold Jenoris Jenkins jock the last few games. The good news is despite not making as many highlight reel hits, Dawson and Washington won't make five highlight reel blown coverage TDs per game either.
Hell, just being ON THE TV SCREEN during long passes would be a drastic improvement from Maye and Neal.
Neal and Maye maybe ok in a team that plays the strong safety up front and plays alot of 1 or 3 high defenses.
The are both strong safeties with poor cover skills. We don't have a true free safety type.
Washington has improved pretty significantly from the start of the season, which was pretty piss poor. I think we'd be ok if we had Dawson at FS, Maye/Neal at SS, and Gardner in the nickel. Let's face it, we'll be in the nickel most of the time. Has anyone heard if Kylan Johnson has developed at all at safety?Yep. I wouldn't mind seeing one of them bolt, but not both.
Washington improved from the start of the year, but is not a very good FS.
Harris is kind of a poor man's Maye/Neal. Maybe Duke ends up at FS.

There's been no confirmation or quote after Scott Carter's article on www.floridagators.comThis looks like click bait to me boys.
I'm thinking he is coming back.
Neal probably should be playing LB. Maye too.Neal is a safety
Neal would be fine at SS if we had a true FS.Neal probably should be playing LB. Maye too.
Add Marcell Harris to the list.Neal probably should be playing LB. Maye too.

We see an instinctive defensive back who reacts quickly to the run and pass; doesn't get out of position or is he fooled by misdirection or play action fakes; takes direct angles to the football.
Coverage Skills
Plays deep zone coverage very well; doesn't get beat deep while showing outstanding closing and collision point underneath coverage; is an athletic prospect who exhibits flexible hips and tight turn ability in space; shows man coverage potential. Makes the hands catch interception and tough pass break up plays; quickly converts to offense (picking up blockers) with a pick 6 to his credit.
