Lou Holtz once dragged a guy off the field by the facemask. Not sure it mattered then or now. Jimbo's sitting on a #1 recruiting class, he can afford a little bad press.

Would love bad press for Jimbo but don't see how this is an issue.

Not a big deal at all imo. Now if this was Meyer right now it would be front page news.

UMass just suspended their football coach for a game because he said a ref raped one of his players with a bad call.

This is a complete non-issue. Fisher will finish w/ a top 5 class, unfortunately.

Nothing to see here that hasn't gone on over, say, the last 101 years.

That is nothing. I have more of a problem with peckerhead crying because his team kept it within 30. As if it was some kind of accomplishment.

I don’t think this is a big deal. He just grabbed him by his facemask to get his attention. For like one second.

No big deal. Real abuse is practicing 3+ hours in Aug. heat, full pads, hitting the whole time with no water or breaks. By no breaks I mean
none because we had few extra players beyond 22. Coach was a gator FB in the late 50s. very old school. I saw him hit a kid in a PE class with a football on purpose cause the kid threw it back to him when he wasnt looking.

The deal is that it's no longer the '70s or '80s for football in America. New time, new methods for today's pussified generation.

My middle school coach kicked a player in the head/helmet.

Another time he told a player to prove he had a pair, and the kid flashed the coach.

But then again, if I got paddled at school, the last folks I would have told were my parents. An ass whoopin' on top of paddlin' was not my cup of tea.

Times have changed since the 70's.

To me it's not going to have any impact. It looks bad, but so did his handling of Winston. And that didn't seem to affect things.

Don't forget, he's a human being in a high-stress industry that is going to have his moments. Not to mention the personal life issues he's dealt with for years. I mean, yeah, it's nice to be a multi-millionaire, live in a mansion and drive whatever top sports car you want. But what good is it all if when you get home, there are so many Dodge Chargers and Impalas in the driveway that you have to park on the street in front of a neighbor's house. All while your wife concocts a story about needing help changing the AC filter. It can't be easy, and I think we're a little too hard on him.

Would have loved to have seen a tampon hurled from the back of the room.

No water is just stupid. It's because your generation were fvkking idiots. It just means you practiced extremely dehydrated and learned more slowly because of severe dehydration. Physiogically speaking, there is no "practicing dehydration makes you better at functioning while dehydrated" which is why elite swat and special forces don't do it.

I will tell you they beat us to death in some military training, sometimes for months with limited calories and limited sleep, on purpose, but we always got water and lots of it. Because we had training based on science, not stupid old football coach neanderthal think.

Your same coaches probably passed out coke when the practice was over.

Lots of dead kids and kidney disease bc of it. Probably explains Corch's mental functioning.

I'm all for grabbing kids by facemasks, throwing footballs at their heads or whatever sort of corporal punishment might seem to help with that particular kid.
