Those Texas oil men are known for having more money than sense.
If they think that Jimbo is all that they can blow their money on him
as well as anything else. The guy is a prostitute anyway. As soon as
his agent Sexton finds him a better gig he'll blow town.
A better gig? LMFAO. No one was looking to poach Dumbo at 7.5 million a year. Now he's at 9 million a year and has yet to win 10 games for these dumbasses. 9 million a year to finish 3rd in the SEC, soon to be 4th or 5th Once OK joins.

Yup. The new normal in the SEC seems to be to reward mediocrity with huge pay increases and extensions. Meanwhile Mack Brown just signed 4 years at 3.4 million per. He's arguably done a better job than Numbnuts or Limpbo for 60% less money.

He receuits better. But he is Ron Zook with slightly more luck.
He was a 2 point conversion away from knocking off a Clemson team with more talent at nearly every position. Mullen could play Clemson or Bama 20 times and never come close to threatening a win. I think Mullen's awful in game management, especially clock management in end of game/end of half situations is under-acknowledged. He really earns the name Ol' Numbnuts when it comes to crunch-time decisions.

This makes no sense.

Mullen was 6 points from beating the best team of the last decade and had a lead on the previous best team of the last decade, in 2019.

Woo Hoo for moral victories.

The difference is we were never in position to win that game. We were down 52-38 with 2 minutes left in the game. We scored a TD to get the Moral Victory you talk about but were never in position to have a chance to win. Saban didn't even try to score on their last possession because he knew all he had to do was punt and we would need to go 90 yards in 16 seconds. We took a sack as the clock ran out. Losers love to pretend "we almost won that one".

UNC on the other hand had the choice to go for 2 for the win or kick the extra point for OT. Brown elected to go for 2 knowing he had about a 40% chance of making it. It didn't work out for him that day, but hopefully you can see the difference.

Yeah but we make up for it with other sports like women’s softball, gymnastics and certain water sports.

Oh, I almost forgot, the All-Sports trophy. That counts for a lot, too.

That fcvker is so old the contract amount was set based solely off of estate planning purposes. No point in paying an old, soon to be deceased geriatric fcvk a huge chunk of coin that Uncle Sam will confiscate in a few years.

Bama's going to do it with Saban, but unlike Most of these other 8 million dollar men like DBD (Dooshbag Dan) and Snapperface Fisher, Saban's actually worth the money.

Agreed. He averages approximately 3 losses per year when you include his good years with Jameis and almost 4 losses per year when removing the Jameis years. He sux!

Jimbo is just a better recruiting Mullen. Disco Dan might be a better playcaller by the slimmest of margins, but Dumbo is a better recruiter.

Agree. But he's also better at staff management. The year he won the NC at FSU he had 6 new coaches on staff. And for all the "QB whisperer" bullsh*t about Mullen - Fisher has: 1 Heisman winner (who was the #1 pick in the NFL draft), plus another #1 pick in the NFL draft, and 2 other 1st round draft picks to his credit. Sure, none of them were NFL stars, but he got them all there. Fisher built a solid coaching staff at A&M and FSU. He didn't bring all his buddies along w/ him for a big pay day.
