They should have just played up the fact that Bear Bryant was once their coach, rather than making that ridiculous trophy.

I think having Bear Bryant as a former coach means you automatically get to declare whatever championships you want well after the fact.

This is emblematic of everything happening in our country today.

Who needs facts when they get in the way of my desires

My Kentucky lady friend, Sagarin's wife who helped with the observations. Now she's his ex-wife who
works at the Jack Daniels distillery - often in overtime.

Anyway, she told me the whole set of data and logic that makes UK's current 1950 status cogent.
Jeff Sagarin had her make UK uniforms for the left-hand action figure & different opposing uniforms put on
the right-hand action figure. Jeff enacted 4 quarters of multiple battles while his wife called penalties and managed the clock for 4 15-minute quarters. She had to whistle "time" for a few cramps Jeff was seized by.
The UK action figure's battered tattered lil uniform held up the best = ergo National Champs.
That UK toy-guy held up better because it was obvious Bear Bryant went beyond the allotted price range in
its purchase. Right after that, U of Alabama realized that he was meant to HC the Tide.

Several of 'Bama's claimed mnc's are worse than this.

They claim one in 1941, a year they finished 9-2 overall, 3rd in the SEC (5-2) and ranked 20th in the final AP poll. Minnesota was the consensus champ going 8-0.

The sad thing is, Bama still has the most agreed-upon NC's in all of CFB without some of their old BS claims. If they had the class they purport, they would disavow the sketchy claims

I think we have 50 NC's using Bammer's "just finished in the top 20" standard.
