In mocks I've seen this week (Nov 24th-Nov 30th), Trask has been as high as 23rd pick (5th quarterback taken) and as low as the middle of the 2nd round (7th quarterback taken). He has been called a less athletic Andrew Luck or a weaker armed Ben Rothlisberger.
The positives I've seen most often:
Maturity/Leadership (always top of the list)
Intelligence
Accuracy
Timing
Pre-snap reads and line calls
The issues I've seen most often:
indecisiveness
questionable or inconsistency mechanics
lacking arm strength (half his total incompletions are from deep out-routes (15+ yards) through the Kentucky game)
A third of his completions are on go-routes (also through the Kentucky game), which is a negative to a qb draft grade, but positive to the receivers draft grade
The NFL execs that continue to watch a guy throw the ball in Indianapolis and fail to watch his games or watch the competition, deserve what they get. Continue to pick guys like Dwayne Haskins, Mitch Tribisky, Akili Smith or Carson Wentz and hope for the best.
They have the ND State QB (Trey Lance) as the #3 QB in the draft. His numbers are comparable in his one year of starting in 1AA as Trasks are in his 2 years of playing in the SEC.
