Talks about being giddy to meet Emmit Smith.

When asked about what he thinks about guys like Emmit questioning calls and "doing his job"... he says "somebody has to"... so he has a sense of humor.

Always gracious about the crowd.

Makes it simple when it comes to how you practice equals how you play.

You can see that the players have bought in!

The more I listen to Mac the more impressed I become. This guy doesn't blow smoke up anybodys arse, he tells it like it is, holds everyone accountable, has extreme attention to detail and puts his players in a position to be successful, all while teaching them how to be consistently successful through routine and preparation.

I think we have one hell of a coach in Mac!

I don't know if you heard his recent interview with Cowherd, but you're exactly right and he says as much. He and Cowherd were college roommates in Eastern Washington, about as remote as it gets, and Cowherd recalled those college days where he would spend most of his days imitating Keith Jackson and Vin Scully while Mac spent all day scribbling balls plays on a note pad. He's amazed to come from that to the Swamp:
