The QB play of the day was a check down!!!!!!! When does UF fire this guy?
Taking the check down is about taking what the d gives you, limiting turnovers, and moving the chains. This is a big deal, and we have not seen much of it in a long time. After you do it a while, it opens up the big play over the top.

Some of us are old enough to have seen SOS show this kind of talk loser talk.

Mullen has suggested it. I think it's a great idea. Routes on air in shorts are for the birds. They can do that on their own during the summer. I want the QBs to be under pressure and the WRs marked by DBs.
They’re running routes on air in shorts because you’re required to only wear helmets the first two days of preseason camp, and helmets with shoulder pads on days 3-4. Can’t go full pads till day 5.

As for hitting the QBs live during practice, the only contact they should ever face in practice is what’s called thud speed. Hit him, wrap him up, but don’t take him to the ground. If they’re trying to simulate option runs, it’s necessary. They shouldn’t face a live pass rush in practice ever. That’s a broken hand/blown ACL waiting to happen.
