No he’s not. I’ll acknowledge he’s a billionaire but he got lucky as hell. The guy is a lying sack of shyyt, a douche bag and a dirt bag. He’s not nearly as smart as he makes himself out to be.
Would you pick him or Napier to go to war with?

I know everybody loves to pile on but I would absolutely choose Napier to go to war with. He talks about doing things for the man next to you all the time, appears to be Christian and seems like he's in good physical shape. With a rifle in his hands, I'd absolutely feel he's got my six.

Now, I know what you're intending to say but that specific reference just doesn't apply IMO.

[Edit: also, I don't think he's gay and probably doesn't have his preferred pronouns in his email signature. ]

Neither. Billy is too much of a puss & with Cuban, you’ve always got to be worried that for a couple of silver coins, he’ll steal your battle plans and your weapons when your back is turned and switch sides.

I wonder if the end game is to fund a new grandiose arena/casino to house the team.

The Adelson family is worth between $30-$40 billion, depending on the share price of LVS on any given day. They don’t need Cuban or the Mavs to help fund a new casino. With all the teams that have moved to Vegas in the not too distant past, I’m not sure a new arena is in the cards. The team may fit nicely as an additional attraction to draw people to their casinos or maybe it’s just a shiny new toy, who knows.

You're possibly overlooking the fact that the deal being discussed would leave Cuban still intrinsically involved in the Mavs' affairs and that the door is open to other parties getting involved in what would be, again, a very large combined arena/casino project.

Using private money rather than government funds, it looks like that is much more realistic. And yes, it appears he will still be involved in the Mavs, but for how long? If the new owners get sick of his shyyt, how long do they have to wait before sidelining him from having day to day control?

From what I read, though, after my initial posts in this thread, Cuban has designs on building a casino/resort/arena in the Dallas area despite gambling not being legal in Texas. If his plan banks on the state of Texas legalizing gambling I think he’s in for a rude awakening.

Obviously there are quite a few unanswered questions, a big one being if the team moves to Vegas and a casino is built, does Cuban get to buy in to the casino side of the deal?

I guess we’ll see. I will say that if things go south with the partnership, I can see Cuban coming out on the short end of the stick. He’s a minnow compared to the Adelson’s. 7-8 years from now, I won’t be surprised if he looks back and regrets selling his majority stake.

Furthermore, if he gets fcvked over, I won’t shed any tears. I can actually foresee him being in such dire financial straits after the Adelson’s use him, chew him up and spit him out that he ends up as the nighttime janitor at a bank in Ocala, reporting to a supervisor named Zook.

3.6 to be exact.
Oh great! More money for him to squander on some cockamamie, flea-brained scheme pitched to him on Shark Tank, as he tries to prove how much smarter he is than his co-hosts, the vertically challenged Daymond, large breasted Lori, elfin-like Barbara, nerdy Robert, and the self-titled, pompous "Mr Wonderful"!
When you listen to him pontificate it's obvious that the guy likes the sound of his own voice. I suspect that he is merely tolerated more so than liked
by the rest of the cast. But people like that, who have more money than they know what to do with, give undo credit to people who managed to amass it. I had a friend like that years ago: You could be the biggest scumbag that ever lived, if you had money the sun rose and set in your ass!

Yeah, Lori has a nice rack. I wouldn’t mind taking her for a test drive. And Barbara strikes me as a freak who probably has done her fair share of 3 on 1’s in her time.

LOL: Like one of her fellow real estaters, the infamous Leona Helmsley (aka: "The Queen of Mean") who, according to rumor,
slept her way into the upper ranks of society with feable minded hotelier Harry while belittling "The Little People" carry the burden of financing the mechism of our goverment.
