Best of luck Matt. With the value of RB's in the NFL being at an all time low, there is very little need for a below average running back. I hope that you return somewhere in the future to get your degree. Your running back skills are not even high D-1 caliber.

That's the spirit!

lol - I think he will get drafted in the 6th/7th round probably due to his blocking and speed for a big back. They probably wont care for how easy DBs take him down however.

His draft stock will depend solely on his combine. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield could push him into a mid round if he nails the combine.

He'll need to showcase his receiving ability out of the backfield. In the NFL there isn't much demand for a back that lacks power and speed.

Good luck and thanks for sweating and bleeding for us.

Don't give away ideas. Good luck to Matt. Hopefully he finds a home in the NFL.

He's a decent blocker but I don't think he will be drafted. I hope I'm wrong.

Wish him the best, but its going to be a long road to get drafted. Perhaps an undrafted FA.

Can't help but wonder who is advising these guys...

I hope the new coach can find this guy and run him out of town. I have never seen so many average players leaving early for the nfl. I hope these guys stick but I don't think so.

Smart move by Jones. His stock is at its highest right now. Coming back next year will do no good for him.

Who is giving these kids advice? I get not wanting to play for anyone else but honestly, thats some childish crap. He's a good kid and good rep for our school and team but this is just dumb. Some of these guys need to start acting like men instead of boys who got their feelings hurt and realize they arent ready yet, need another year, and quite frankly, were not developed as well as they could have been elsewhere. Remove the "I love my coach" glasses and start thinking about things from a business decision standpoint, especially if you are about to make the ultimate business decision regarding the NFL.

Even if he makes a practice squad for a whole season that's more $ than a lot of people make in an entire year. Problem with that is he'll have to keep making the squad and that's no way to live.
