Recruiting McElwain targets a quarterback for 2015

KISSIMMEE -- Deondre Francois was the Florida Gators’ top target this past summer. The quarterback from Orlando, Florida was Will Muschamp and Kurt Roper’s top target at quarterback for the 2015 recruiting cycle and even made an early trip to Gainesville.

“I took a visit there -- my first college visit ever, actually,” Francois said.

Despite taking a visit and showing a lot of interest in the Gators this summer, Francois committed to Florida’s rival in Jimbo Fisher and the Florida State Seminoles.

I do not see Treon leading us to the Promised Land. He is better than Driskel but not by much.

I'm not worried about Treon. He and Grier will sort themselves out in the spring. One will be better than the other and will start. The other will be the back-up or pout and transfer. Same story, different year. The good news is, we have a new HC and he knows offense pretty darn well.

I think we could use a QB in this class. We really don't know what we have in Grier and I don't for a minute believe Treon is the featured QB in Mac's offense.
