The kid didn't elude anyone... If the defender had kept a hold of the QB instead of assuming he was down, it would have been a sack. On the other hand, it was definitely a heads up play by the QB to realize he was never down and to roll and make that throw!

He's down ... he was upside down ? Additionally, nice to have a WR who didn't slack on his route (or adjusted it for the
better "what if" outcome.) Good "never say die" playing by both QB & WR.
