Again, I'm not the recruiting coordinator. This info (that they passed on him) came out days before signing day.

Damn it. You weren’t supposed to know that I recognized the troll but fell for the bait. Oh well, I’ll do better tomorrow.

This guy was a bad DC in the NFL. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my program.

@SDS: Here’s one of our favorite quotes from new Michigan St HC Mel Tucker courtesy of @BarrettSallee Despite not having a “transfer portal in the real world” this is now Tucker’s 3rd different job in the last 3 years...

But now we’re getting Zach Evans. He hasn’t visited, but he will and he’ll fall in love with us. Mullen hasn’t vetted him completely but he will. We’re still gettin’ errybody!
I doubt he can pull any 11th hour magic, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he came here. Avantae went to Miami despite everything pointed to him coming here. Hell, Evans may pick us because he knows he’ll be allowed to beat up Gonzales

@ESPNRittenberg: Sources tell ESPN that Tucker was at the Colorado facility this morning and wanted to speak to the team but was informed he could not do so. He definitely wanted to address players before leaving for MSU.

Can confirm. Locals are very mad. Would be interested to talk to football player neighbors but I have not seen them since the semester started.

MSU reportedly more than doubled his $2.7 million salary, plus gave him double his assistants salary pool (which was just over $3 million). He'll be the 11th highest paid coach in the country, just behind Dan Mullen, and he has a 5-7 record as a CFB coach and a 2-3 record as an NFL interim head coach. Wow! Can't blame him for taking the job though.

High ceiling guy, great hire, way better than the Dan Mullens of the world. / @ltraz

In all seriousness, how could he say no to that? And what is MSU thinking? Huge gamble on an unproven guy.

They’ve lost their minds.

Is it possible there’s even more negative story yet to come out regarding Msu and their overall culture? Maybe they felt they had to attract and lock him(someone) up while they could.

I’ll say, between their trainers, the male/male tea-bagging at Psu, rapists/kidnappers in Columbus and a grown man doing sleepovers with recruits at Michigan, that’s shaping up to be one hell of a division.
