He could use a little mentoring, but that kid’s gonna be alright.
Our HC is just winging it. Capable of of moving into the top half of SEC teams, maybe.

"will once again go into the 2024 season with two OL coaches and no play-calling offensive coordinator, Billy Napier confirmed Wednesday (barring some unforeseen change). UF had one of the lowest-ranked OLs in the country last season." No killer instinct. Team plays like Billy talks. Not much will change when a coach is convinced it's the players that need to change.

Our Head Coach is such a good coach that he doesn't have time to coach the Coaches. Instead, he's hired a Coach that he can coach to coach the Coaches. It's a brilliant move and something no one else has even begun to think about. That is until now.

He didn't outright say it but I get the impression the TE coach may end up calling plays.

I'll hold up fingers on one hand to call the play:
1. TE pass to the flat
2. TE pass up the seam
3. Tebow-Hernandez shuttle pass to TE up the middle.
4. Tebow-Hernandez jump pass.
5. Punt (by the TE).

Do we really need any other plays?

Maybe a few button hooks and screens. And another where one of the two WRs on the field runs himself totally out of the play on a fake jet sweep.

See, since I am not apolectic about Coach Napier, I took his comment to mean "as an analyst, he can't coach the players but he can coach the coaches about how to coach the players." Good use of a valuable resource in my view.
