If Orlando is gonna host an annual neutral site game it seems like a no-brainer for Florida to play Miami there.

@ZachAbolverdi Age-old UM-UF neutral-site debate: So, where do you recoup income from the home game gate you're giving up every other year?

@RKingGator 1h1 hour ago
@GatorsChris @ZachAbolverdi Does that argument work if the payout for the neutral site game is $3.5 million (what FSU is getting in 2016)?

Some Interesting talk about if it could happen. I think it would be awesome for the fans, but I know there is also a lot of difficulties with Home revenue and we shouldn't help Miami help. Do you ever see this happening? Discuss.

I think it is possible, but I think the payout would have to be more than the $3.5 Million that FSU is reportedly getting to cover a lost home game every year.

Miami IS it already a neutral site. But anything beats going to that trash hole, even Orlando.

I have heard stories of how they screw us by raising the ticket prices for that game knowing it will be nothing but Gators buying, so eff them.

I think it is good to play Miami. We compete with them in recruiting every year and showing a better product on the field and much better fan support could influence recruits.

I'd say give us another year or two to build our program up...but not too much, as I see this as a major recruiting tool for that area of the state. We want to win the game and ask kids - do you want to be with a winner, or stay home with a loser?

**** Miami. Adding them back to our schedule would only help them more both financially and relevance. Screw them.

Outside of the fact that we seem to lose to them every time we play, I would like to see it happen.

^This! Playing them only helps them financially and adds viewers to a game telecast they wouldn't get otherwise. If you want to play a neutral site game against a power 5 team, then do it against Texas, USC or another marquee program from a recruiting rich state that has an actual fan base. As NV said...**** Miami!

Eff Miami.

I'm still pissed we lost to them two of the last three games we played against them as it would have put us over them in the history of that rivalry. :wobble:

Miami leads the series 29–26, and has won 7 of the past 8 matchups including a 21–16 victory in the most recent game played in 2013.

Yall some pansy asses...

Of course we should play them...and we should kick their ass up and down the field whether it's a home and home or a neutral site game.

Nothing would make me happier than to own this state not only in recruiting but on the field also.

Part of me say EFF 'em. The other part says lets kick the :kiffin: out of 'em. I'd say just make the payout to cover both teams expenses. But anyway, EFF scUM.

No thanks. I don't even view them as a rival any more. I'd rather play someone else like Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma...ect. Miami doesn't do anything for me. I look at Miami like I do the Minnesota Gophers. I'm apathetic.

Miami is a scumbag, filthy, cheating program and has been since Snellenberger took over and was told to win or they would drop football like they did basketball.

Let the bastards die.

( for some reason the quote function didn't work)

I heartily agree! I don't remember how they screwed us over the last time, but I remember thinking and reading that Foley shouldn't do business with them again.

I'd support rotating Squaws and scUM, maybe Squaws, scUM and USF. The damage that would do to Squaws SOS would be impressive. They were at serious risk of not making the 4 team playoffs as it was.

If we add a game, it should someone interesting like others have said, Texass, Okie, something in Cali etc.

I think some of us have forgotten our relative place in the college football world. Sure, we've got history and all that, but let's not kid ourselves. We're no longer hanging among the elite-elite crowd. We have to earn that back. It sounds good to say let's play Texas or Oklahoma or USC at a neutral site, but where's the mutual incentive? We haven't won our SEC division in years. The Miami series has history and vitriol and an Orlando game would put it smack dab in the middle of the two turfs. Fans from either base could easily attend without the need for air fare or even hotel fare. I think it makes sense esp because so many of us still do hate Miami. That's the whole point to a rivalry, isn't it? Book it.

scUM has ZERO fan base. If their paid actual attendance figures were released, MAC conference schools would be better. Why play them unless it's always at the Swamp? Otherwise UF loses revenue.
