Law, I realize you don't want something like that because it would supposedly make regular season games "meaningless", but I've always hated the system that when you lose one freaking game then your season is usually over. It's ridiculous. No other sport is set up so when you lose a single game that your chances at winning it all go right down the drain.

I really have no problem with ND's schedule. They played zero FCS schools. It's not their fault that some of the teams are having down years.

This exactly what I love about CFB. It gives games in September tons of juice. No other sport has that intensity at the opening bell. I'd hate to lose that.

Which makes the regular season so damn important. That's why it's the greatest sport in the land!

This is exactly why they need to be in a conference. Their schedule was weak. FSU, USC and Stanford were all garbage this year. Were they in a conference, they would have had to go through the best team in the conference whoever that is.

Oh.... I love that part.

I love watching Payton Manning and the Voles crying in September.

Hatred aside, the criteria are supposed to be the entire season of work. That means losses and wins are evaluated.

OSU has one very bad loss and some poor wins as well so they have a lot of negative baggage.

OK has one not so bad loss which they overcame.

Georgia has two not too bad losses and one very close loss to the number one team.

ND I don't know, they have no losses, no really good wins, etc.

I am biased but ND belongs out.

Sure, if they want to be completely irrelevant.
well they're in a conference, like you said. ND is going to be in the playoff as an independent, so they are relevant, w/o a conference

I always wondered why Walgreens and CVS put the pharmacy at the rear of the store. Why did I have to walk through the tampon and hair roller aisles to get my Viagra?
