So how many people look like fools now after the last 24 hours and all the buyout talk. Someone on here posted they was giving JM a chance to tell the csu team 1st and I believe that's what the one day wait was for.

That's what I meant in earlier posts too. If it had been a no, we would have known. Then Jeremy is off in another direction other than Gainesville.

I really haven't been keeping up with all the coaching threads on here so I don't know what the general board feeling is towards this hire. Is it riskier than say Stoops or some of the other big names that weren't going to happen? Yeah, definitely. The guy's track record as a HC is 3 years, but his turnaround at CSU, the offense they run there and his success at Bama give me hope that this is a good hire.

I look forward to a new atmosphere at BHG next year. Hopefully we get a great staff, get a great recruiting class, and have a strong spring. I'm looking forward to next season

Happy with the hire. He's definitely among the better options out there. There's a bit of wait-and-see if we'll make it to the promised land. That said, Dooley had a rare nugget on this one:

Puts it in perspective. Foley knows he had to get this one right or it's the last decision about what happens in Ben Hill Griffin he makes. UF is in for BIG money on this transition and there's not a lot of wiggle room if 2-3 years from now we realize we got another dud.

All that said, "GO GATORS!! THEY CAN LAUNCH THE ORION IN CELEBRATION NOW!"

Dooley as usual omits the big picture. These programs were going in two very different directions. That quote would suggest otherwise. I'm excited for the hire, excited for the change.
