The TE's catching passes and lack of penalties are my biggest takeaways from this game. It's amazing what a real ball coach can do for a team.

You mean to tell me a competent offense can win you the TOP battle? Muschamp calls bullsh*t on that!

Nice. It was great to see these things. NMSU may only get one win this year. They've lost 11 in a row and are giving up 45 pts/game during this losing streak.

We can all see the difference on offense from the game planning to just plain old moxie. Huge difference but this was basically a tackling dummy.

The biggest and nicest surprise was the O-Line who got better and better as the game went on. We more game experience I think they will really gel and continue to improve.

This was an unbelievable stat, it was different in the third quarter to not be shooting ourselves in the foot. Pleasantly surprised to see a competent football team tonight.

My biggest takeaways are the confidence the offense seemed to have and the kids looked to be having fun. Solid foundation of positive vibes to build on. We'll have plenty of adversity to overcome this season, but I think this team will have the mental capacity to deal with it because of the leadership.

I was most impressed with the fans. After that, I couldn't help but to be impressed with the discipline and focus on the offensive side of the ball. We'll see what happens on defense but the focus needs to improve. But damn it was nice to see the Swamp packed and loud.

Great thread!

I said to my father on the bus back to the RV lot, "we weren't sloppy, for an opener........and so many people got involved". He replied, "That's what she said, son".

We both belly laughed.....harder than we've laughed on a Saturday in the fall in a long time.
