Lebron is one of the most selfish players I've ever seen. He tries desperately to maintain the image of a "good guy", but he's every bit the diva that Kobe, Iverson and the rest of the NBA "superstars" have been over the past couple of decades. Much of the reason I don't follow the league any longer. That and the indifference to playing defense, calling traveling, allowing flopping, etc..

The question is whether or not he made the decision, not whether or not he was advised. To suggest that he was not involved is insulting to anyone that pays attention at all.
Unfortunately, something like this will eventually happen to Billy.

Of course they do. You honestly think Lebron's PR machine is going to allow him to be shown in a negative light? They've been working overtime since his "I'm taking my talents to..." speech.

:dunno:

I'm surprised they didn't fire him earlier, especially after mailing it in against GS. It was obvious he'd lost the team.

He lost the team a long time ago. I'm surprised it took them this long to pull the trigger.

That story broke after LeBron complained that Lenny Wilkens was too old.

When you have the guy who is supposedly the best player in the league playing on the team with the highest payroll in the league, but you only have the 4th best record in the league and against your biggest rival you just suffered your worst ever home defeat in a game with the supposed best player playing... firing the coach is a complete no-brainer.

But of course they ran it by LeBron before they pulled the trigger. He has a player option on his contract at the end of the year (just like he did last year). He has hand.

They certainly didn't rally around the new coach and make him look like the solution last night. Yes, it was one game but they played without a lot of energy, again.
