Patric Young has a double-double in first Summer League game

I actually recorded and watched it last night. He looked very good. The commentators talked about him the whole game. Also he's getting paid to play for pelicans,apparently not alot of undrafted players get that. He also has a guaranteed invite the pelicans preseason camp. If keeps this up he will make that team. The pelicans really wanted him.

Wouldn't surprise me if he gets signed by another team. They said unless moves were made it would probably be hard for him to make their active roster this upcoming season but maybe things have changed since that time with free agency.

Remember he has a fall back as a broadcaster too. He would do well for the SEC network. But I think he will make a roster.

I don't know how the Pelicans would have room for another big man on their roster, but if he keeps performing well in the D-League, I'm sure another team will reach out to him.

According to @IAmDPick the pelicans have extended a two year offer to young. He played the most minutes in the game today and finished with 8 pts 5 reb and 2 blocks. (30 mins).

Sorry for the buzzkill, but young stated he was not offered a contract as reported. He was, however invited to training camp.

Exactly. When you go undrafted you have to be a specialist. They already have their roster filled with the guys they want to score. And these guys understand that. That's why Scottie is trying to be more of a distributor and prove he can run some teams second unit.
