Exactly two of the Top-5 actually belong there. Most of the Top-10 are questionable, outside of Stoops given what he’s done there.

This is how I imagine the Michigan State AD’s morning upon hearing the Tucker news:

all of them underpaid

hard to put a real number to be compensated for having to deal with fanatics screaming for their head every week, that's right, fanatics, that extremely emotionally unstable group that gives a bad name to those that want to cheer peacefully, not caring if the team wins or lose, just out to have a nice time..

We're only paying our guy 16th level money. But we signed him to a Bobby Bonilla contract length. Where's the face palm emote?

He was top 10 when we wrote the contract.

No doubt there were a lot of agents questioning their guys' deals saying, look what Florida is paying this nitwit.

Now that Tucker is gone, if we are being honest, Napier and Ferentz are two worst on there/worst return on investment for the school's expectations. And Ferentz is probably higher than Napier.

Where does Mullen fall on this list, since we are still paying him?

Ferentz is way better. Iowa usually is on the losing end of the big games against the michigans and ohio states but they are usually really close/competitive games. Ferentz consistently gets them bowl eligible, consistently cranks out NFL talent, especially at offensive line, tight end and linebacker. The kids are well coached, disciplined, fundamentally sound, and play tough hardnose football year in and year out. Other than losing big games, im not sure there's much else in common with us.

26 dudes on that list and only 1, 2, 3 and 7 have won it all - ever! That's crazy speculative salaries everywhere.

Ferentz is my age and well past his prime. There was a time 20 or so years ago when he could have pointed just about wherever he wanted to go. Not now. He's too closely associated with plodding, Neanderthal football.

I know people his age that, too, are past their prime. Like Ferentz, they could’ve gone anywhere at one point, and still pop up from time to time with something decent. But their best days are clearly behind them and they just honestly don’t bring much to the table anymore. Probably would’ve been let go years ago if it weren’t for nostalgia.
