Redemption for Dunlap?

Just read about Carlos Dunlap's graduation chomp and Go Gators at the draft. He took so much heat for his dui, suspension and the after effects. This has got to feel good for him, and be somewhat redeeming.

I wish the kid the best and glad he finished his degree. But his actions really cost us in that SEC game. Huge mistake.

Anyone know if he was sober when he walked across the stage?

He was in full cap and gown at the draft announcing the Bengals pick (2nd or 3rd round). If I remember right, he missed the ceremony to announce the pick.

It's not redemption, but simply a smart move (finally) by him.

Good for him and I think it says a lot that he wore his cap and gown on stage at the draft. Think of the message that sends to all the future players watching the draft. It says that he is not just an athlete, he is a graduate also. It shows that the academics are still important.

Seems like he is acting with class and representing the university well. I always think it is positive when a player comes back and gets their degree. It says a lot about how UF impacts the kids thoughts on education and getting their degree.

Congrats to Carlos and Jelani!

Yes.. he made a mistake when he was young... LET IT GO.

Happy for him!

He's a Pro Bowler in the NFL and has been a great ambassador for UF during his time in the league (which is something not many of his UF teammates from that era can say). Hope he continues to succeed.

Does that mean lower the bar or raise the bar?

Since the only mistake you've made in life was becoming an insufferably miserable poster, it's evident you're unable to understand. More to the point, Carlos Dunlap doesn't owe you jack sh!t.
