Ricky Town, a highly rated quarterback from 2015, is rumored to be considering Florida after giving up at USC. He also committed to Alabama before flipping to USC. It sounds like he thought he was going to be great instantly, and the competition was too much for him to handle. He may be a head case, but would you still want him?

According to Twitter he's strongly considering us because of his relationship with Nussy. Would have to sit out a year.

… a "5* QB" a coupla years older, reel him in. Maybe "age" has learned him a few correct things ?
6'4" over 200 lbs, Pro-style QB … It'd be great if he has availed himself of some of those private
QB tutors to improve on his lacks & slacks … and we get him … before Muschamp offers him
a DB position at Auburn.

It depends on his situation and reason for leaving. If he is avoiding competition in the pac 12 we don't need him at all. If there is a reason for him to come to UF then I am happy to have Gators who want to contribute, compete, and be good Gators.

If he does transfer, obviously he's ineligible for this year. But would there be a point where he could enroll and start practicing with the team this season?

Yes, he can be on the team and practice if he's enrolled at UF. Can't play til 2016.

Ricky Town was a 247 composite four star, which means that hardly anyone thought he was a five star. AS for being scared of the competition, that might be an extra incentive for him to come to UF. We'll see this year if UF continues to struggle as they have the past five years at quarterback. If the narrative remains the same, Town could come in and have a very good chance to start immediately. If that happens, and he does change the narrative, what does 2017 commit Allen do? THe best scenario is for a decent quarterback to show up this year. But if that doesn't happen, and Town comes in and becomes a good quarterback, who cares what happens to Allen? The goal is to field a decent quarterback, and anything else doesn't really matter.

He was a pretty consensus 5 star until the final rankings. I think he ended up being top 5-10 positional QB. Doesn't matter of exact ranking. He would be a nice fit for dept and competition. If Mac thinks he fits and he wants to come here it should be good for the program.
