ACC v. SEC

4-0 for the record. Guess we aren't that superior to them after all.

I know it was a bad day for the SEC. Shows exactly how bad the East was. Come playoff time ACC, if they make it they'll be put in their place.

The SEC East was bad this year. I thought us and UK actually played pretty well. Both teams had changes to win over 2 teams that were ranked higher. SC looked terrible and UGA has been overrated all year. IF we would have had the ability to score points this year we should have ran away with the conference.

Only UGa was a favorite. That was the ACC's 4 best teams playing against teams at the bottom of the SEC minus the Dawgs. Big deal.

Yeah, but UK was supposed to be a juggernaut this year according to some on here. Remember when they took us to triple OT and they wouldn't lose another game?

The SEC's best teams can beat the best teams in the ACC. And the SEC's bottom teams can beat the ACC's bottom feeders. More times than not.

In fairness, they really were a much improved team this year. Must suck to get to 5 wins so early in the season and still not make a bowl though.

The SEC East is pathetic. I'm glad we didn't have a showdown with CUSA because we would have lost that too.

Yes, probably the most improved team in the country according to some of our braintrust.

Was UK really that much better or the rest of the east that much worse than last year? Think about it.

Probably a little of both, but when you consider they won more games this year than the last two years combined, it's a step in the right direction for them.

It's true. They were both greatly improved and still not much of a team. They defense was greatly improved for sure. If they keep improving on that side of the ball, we could be looking up at them soon. They have always had some offensive talent.

I've seen bowl projections that say we will play either Duke, NC State, or VT. VT would be particularly interesting to me because my son goes to VT and is a Gator fan at heart.

Looking at the standing for both conferences, here's what I see:

ACC # 1 beat SEC # 10 by 5 on their home field
ACC # 2 beat SEC # 5 in OT
ACC # 3 beat SEC # 11 on their home field
ACC # 4 beat SEC # 13 on their home field

Congratulations ACC

Both, best Kentucky team in some time, and the rest of the east being a little less then they have been in a while. Same thing many were saying after our game with them. They were better than before, and it helps them that the East was in a transition year where they would be able to steal some wins they normally wouldn't.
