It just means we've sucked for a long time.Im trying to understand what relevance 2013-2014 has to this team.
Thank God that's over.It just means we've sucked for a long time.
Yeah I don't count ranked wins/losses unless the team is ranked at the end of the year. Especially when preseason rankings are largely responsible for the rankings the first month or so of the season. Look at this year. LSU, Stanford, Notre Dame, and Michigan state were 33% of the top 12 of the AP preseason poll. LSU fired their coach and just sneaked back into the rankings this week, and the other three teams are hot, stinking, steamy garbage. But if someone beat them in weeks 1-4, it looked like an "impressive" win. GMAFB.No that this changes the absolute horror of that stat, but as has been mentioned in previous threads, end of year rankings should carry a lot more weight than what teams were ranked when the games were played(see Texas' huge win over ND in week 1). Based on that, we had 2 last year.
So I'd guess the 2 wins referenced above were where they were ranked when we played(uga 2014). Even more damning for WM, blanking after the 2012 win over the noles.

Not sure that's going to happen, though. Ole Miss way too inconsistent, and it's a second straight road game for them. And they will sneak right back out after Old Piss stomps a mudhole in them in the middle of Corndogville Saturday night.
I absolutely hate preseason rankings. Wish the first poll wouldn't come out till the start of Week 5.But if someone beat them in weeks 1-4, it looked like an "impressive" win. GMAFB.
So, you are saying all our losses to teams that were hot, stinking, steamy garbage because they were later unranked makes us look even worse, right?Yeah I don't count ranked wins/losses unless the team is ranked at the end of the year. Actually, that never happened, and that wasn't what I was saying anyway. So, you are saying all our losses to teams that were hot, stinking, steamy garbage because they were later unranked makes us look even worse, right?
Phenomenal record. And now that we have LDR, can anyone deny we are now a juggernaut ready and waiting to sink the SS Bama?Mac is 2-0 versus ranked opponents with his starting QB.
