I always thought he was a decent coach, but he's been pretty flat the last few years. Change of scenery is probably good for him.

With the talent he had this year, they should have easily been a sweet 16 team at worst. He isn't a great coach by any stretch.

Looked like Stallings was about to get the boot from their athletic director, and he wasn't exactly Pitt's first choice either.

Lol I just re-read my original post and saw that I used the term "great", my bad. I wasn't implying that you thought he was a great coach, but see how it came across that way.

I'll sit the next few plays out.

He's mediocre coach but he's very good at finding and developing good ball players.

This is an interesting hire. I figured Pitt would try for some young proven coach like Jacobson at Northern Iowa or put a feeler out for Archie who is a Pennsylvania native. Perhaps both said no. Stallings is probably happy to take that job and perhaps he is tired of the SEC being left out of the tourney.

I don't like this. I like established so-so coaches at other conference schools. They could go out an hire someone really good and become a problem to deal with year in and year out.

Well Vandy managed to get two 7-footers before. If they got another 7', maybe we can steal him
since the HC that drew them ain't there no mo.?
