WTF! How do you lose when you hold a team to 119 yards? This game reminds me of when we beat South Carolina in 2012 with turnovers and special teams.

Really? How do we do that? WM.
A stat from ESPN stated that including this week, teams that held their opponents to 120 yards or less are 147-2 in the last ten years. Guess what. The 2 losses are both WM coached Gator teams. Go figure.

:rotfl: Just more ineptitude and more he can put on his resume.

Did it mention the W-L record of teams that have offenses rated 100+?

Knew there was a reason I hadn't opened this thread. That is putrid and may keep me from sleeping.

A punt return, a kick return, a fumble return, and a pick 6. Yup, too bad we missed that tune-up game against Idaho.

One of the great myths of the Muschamp era, aside for 2012 when we had Dan Quinn, was that we played great defense. Even in this game against Missouri, when the game was still reasonably competitive, early in the second quarter, our defense gave up an 8 minute drive and basically had the ball stuffed down our throats. And on the rare occasions during the Muschamp era, when our offense showed the slightest pulse, the defense caved in. Don't ever let revisionist historians use the "at least we played great defense" under Muschamp.

Yes. Thanks for posting. I heard the commenter citing that stat last night as well, so I can verify its accuracy/being said.
Its a particular, refined, cultured kind of pathetic and horror.

I don't believe this. I think you're the one revising history. We don't have to skew things to make WM a worse coach than he is in reality. I would agree that the defenses haven't been as good as their stats - many teams haven't had to score on them because our offense couldn't make the game competitive. However, our DB's are monsters and are well coached. We've been getting better and better talent back there and the crew that's there now are going to be really good. Our LB's are developing nicely too. The DL is also talented and disciplined enough to make it tough on all but the best teams.

The defense was pretty much lights out last night. Here are their drives according to ESPN. Longest drives: 55, 24, 19 and the rest single digits or negative yardage. They also would have certainly risked more if the game was in doubt, but the defense gave up one touchdown and two field goals. Is that right? If you include extra points, our offense "allowed" more points than our defense. Don't pull the one drive over 24 yards out of the stack to demonstrate that we haven't had a good defense.
