The Lakers are retiring not one but both of Kobe's numbers -- #8 and #24.

Michael only got #23 because Nick Anderson stole the ball while he wore #45.

Dumb. He's not even in the top 3 greatest Lakers.

I could not agree more.

BSPN has created this mentality that the latest is the best. Within 2-3 years they will say that Lonzo Ball is the GOAT.

Do Kareem and Magic and Elgin and Wilt and Jerry and.............agree that Kobe is the GOAT? I doubt it.

Love would obliterate Magic one on one.

They'll be making a play for LeBron next summer. Watch Kobe come back of they do.

Kobe has to be in the discussion for top 3 Lakers at least. Cmon guys. He won 5 championships there and he's the second all-time scorer in franchise history behind Wilt. I wouldn't say best ever. But definitely in the discussion for top 3. Magic is definitely #1. Wilt or the Logo 2 or 3 and then Kobe in there maybe.

FIFY for this reply. So Johnson is the best Laker of all time while Bryant would be the greatest Laker of all times if the Lakers had a team in a one on one league?
Isn't that the kind of league Kobe just retired from?

I’m not what you mean by this. Wilt was with the Lakers for what? Five years? He’s not the all-time scoring leader. He’s probably not even the top 20. I think Kobe is the all-time scoring leader of the Lakers. I would assume Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would probably be second.
