About 1971 a friend and I found a slot machine at Sukiran US Army base bowling alley on Okinawa that had a glitch. It was an old style one-armed bandit but this day we were the bandits. If you dropped a dime in, pulled the handle down but stopped halfway back up and held it there, it would pay out. We walked out with pockets bulging with dimes. Many were pre-65 real silver. I still have the silver, and no, I did not turn myself in. Sometimes those machines win, and sometimes they don’t.
