A linebacker from TAMU also got arrested last night. Pushed his girlfriend down, who landed on a child's rocking chair and got bruised up, then tried to prevent her from calling 911 by putting her phone in his pocket. Apparently 911 was successfully called and still on the hook in his pocket when police arrived. What a guy.

Stupid, yes. But not quite like you put it. 3 guys didn't have guns, as in walking around with a piece tucked in their waistband or anything like that. They got stopped in a car, the cop smelled weed and asked them to get out, and a search found the weed and a gun not registered to any of them. My guess is that there were 3 guys in the back seat and that's where the gun was, so they all got the charge when none of them admitted to being the one who put it there. It could have belonged to the driver (or the car owner, if he wasn't the driver) or put there by someone else. For all we know, it could have been under the seat and none of them knew it was there. My guess is they do some more investigating, including seeing if it is registered to anybody, was stolen, had any of their prints on it, etc before any sort of prosecution takes place.
