You won’t recognize his face because you probably never saw it, but his voice on the series of NFL Films was legendary. Loved them as a young man and still today!

Dizzy Dean doing the play by play of the Baseball Game of the Week with his sidekick Pee Wee Reese was a treat to listen to. It was sponsored by Falstaff Beer and during rain delays Diz would probably have downed a few before he broke out in singing the Wabash Cannonball. It was back before people got screwed up, had a sense of humor, and could laugh at themselves.
