I had to actually go to the website and download it from there. Just hitting "update" in "settings" "about" didnt do it.

Yes, check your version and it should say 81.

Those three dots in the top right under the X
Then "settings"
Then "about Chrome"

Should say 81.0.4044.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)
