Vandy QB injury?

Did we find out what happened to their QB?

He was wearing a knee brace, but it started coming off in the middle of a series so between plays he ripped it all the way off and threw it to the sideline. A few plays later he got tackled in the thighs, but refs threw a ridiculous flag for a "low hit on QB", and he never came back.

They showed a shot of him in the tunnel and his right eye was almost shut - he might have hit it when he came down on the turf from that hit.
Just speculation though

That was a very strange play. The hit was right at the thigh/waist area, yet somehow he managed to sustain an injury to his head area? I saw the liquid too and also wondered what in the world could have happened to cause that. It just didn't seem to make sense at all. Saw nothing in the replay to explain a head injury. Very very strange. Hope he's ok.

the penalty for a low hit was BS. - about the only thing Andre got right in that game was saying that you can't touch the QB anywhere w/o a flag being thrown. Next they'll be wearing non-contact jerseys, or flags around their waists

Our dt inadvertantly stuck his hand over his facemask and jabbed a finger into his eye on the tackle.....nothing to do with the low hit.

I saw a shot of the qb standing in the tunnel w' his right eye looked red, watery and swollen around it. He also had a towel covering it up. Looked like he did get poked in the eye just like olegator mentioned above.
