We shouldn't fire Muschamp

We shouldn't have to. He should resign ASAP. He is embarrassing
to the coaching profession. Coaches all over the country are thankful
they can coach better than him.

If he doesn't walk into Foley's office and suggest a modest buyout
he's worse than I thought, and that is baaaad.

I will be surprised if it isn't announced Monday he has resigned.
Expect that happening tomorrow.

He won't. They're going to fix this thing. It's on him. Well, that's what he says every single press conference.

With that kind of cash at hand? No way. Football is a business. If I am Muschamp I keep that extra few mil then wait for Quinn to land somewhere and join his staff.

I would not walk away from the buyout he's going to get for being fired. No way.

Oh sure and forgo his buyout? That will absolutely happen. :sarcasm:

While I agree with your sentiment, the only way WM would "resign" is if Foley worked out some deal to let WM save face, but still get paid. Again, incredibly unlikely. Fire his ass during the Monday morning presser, put Champ out of his misery.

I thought this thread was going to suggest we execute him instead.
Yeah, but one of Muschamps biggest complaints is a lack of execution. Lol

What he could do -- if he's smart -- is walk into Foley's office and empathetically offer that he's unnecessarily cost Foley five years of his lifespan and then offer to resign at 75% of the buyout if and only if Foley assures he becomes the UF defensive coordinator in waiting.

As long as he showed up, they had to pay him. He burrowed back in and refused to leave.

Hello Marjorie? It's George Costanza. How are ya sweetheart? Good. Listen, could you give Mr. Tomasulo a message? If he needs me, tell him I'M IN MY OFFICE!!!

In a perfect would I would hope Champ would do that to save his dignity. Watching his face Saturday night I felt sorry for him. But then I saw his presser and realized that Champ is Champ and I'm sure in his soul of souls he believes that it is anybody's fault but his own.

The Costanza reference is perfect from an incompetence and stubbornness standpoint.

But that was Play It Now Sports. The way we're running things is much closer to Kruger Industries. Waiting any minute for Foley to come out and say, "I'm not too worried about it."
