Is he missing wide open guys and playing anxious even when he has time like in games? If so, why haven’t we figured out how to fix it?

Or is he performing well but simply unable to make it translate to games?

Just baffling how up and down he is.

Well if he going against our defense he's probably looking like All World in practice.

Feleipe has all the tools except a quick release and ability to process the field. It's as if his brain becomes overwhelmed in the pocket.

He's had poor coaching till now. I hope finds it, here or somewhere else.

Franks' asset & curse is his arm power. But he fails to control that. We should bring in our most prominent gunslinger Rex Grossman to analyze Franks' throwing and advise, demonstrate, try to get through to him. Rex could give his private opinion to Mullen and Johnson. The coaches can take it from there.

Who cares what he does in practice. At this point its crystal clear he's a horrible QB. Time to move on.

The world is littered with strong armed quarterbacks who can't throw it in the ocean. For those of us who are ancient I offer a baseball analogy. Remember Ryne Duran of the Yankees? Win/Loss career 27-44. Just as likely to hit the batter as the strike zone.

Clearly Trask is more accurate and the better passer. Franks scrambles and eludes pressure better. I guess Dan values the latter more with our O line.

He is practicing his swing passes behind the line of scrimmage.

Ryne Duren was half blind. Maybe that’s Frank’s problem.

I believe there are some coaches and former coaches on here. I'm a former and the question of how a QB performs in practice vs. live action is an important one.

For QB's, practice is essentially a non-contact activity. I've seen very capable QB's who couldn't play under the lights. The variable of knowing that a violent collision with another human being while in a defenseless state is possible is daunting. A QB has to put it entirely out of his mind to be effective. Maybe FF is a world beater in practice. He certainly has the physical gifts. Maybe he fears contact. He wouldn't be the first QB to be thus ruined. Kickers are subject to the same affliction.

When throwing hard enough, an equally effective strategy as a sharpshooter. It's just attrition by injury instead of strikeout.

I remember him. Wild as a March hare. How about Rudy Buchich? He could throw a 100 yds but never came close to a receiver.
