That brings up long ago memories. Had a friend who was a heavy marijuana user. Would become a catonic mumbling lump.
Happens with other drugs too.

Yes, and Mac edict is that rule breakers are barred from any team activities. That was true for all the suspensions this year. In Grier's case, that would mean no football practice or other activities for a full year. I don't blame him for transferring if that's the case. Even if he has to sit out at his next school, at least he'll be able to participate in spring football and practices.
That's not true. If it was, then why did Mac announce he was returning to team activities in Jan. 5th, while he would still be suspended for another 9-10 months? Grier wasn't around the team because he's all about Grier...not the team.

Word on the street is he had a surplus of viagra and had to use it all before and piss clean before playing again. So, he was busy trying to get back to the team. Very busy.

If he is having second thoughts then it has to be that no major program told him they were willing to wait until mid 2017 for him.

I guess Mac made an exception, so my theory that is why he left is wrong. But Grier was prohibited from joining the team after his suspension, that's Mac's rule as far as I know. If Grier was asked to come to practice and didn't show up I'd imagine he'd be dismissed from the team.

Somewhere in this discussion is where the rubber meets the road. Either Grier wasn't allowed in and felt excommunicated over it or he's a selfish little douche who belongs somewhere other than here. Either way, he's history and we need to move forward.

I'm starting to believe the latter. Mac said he was coming back and appears UF did everything they could to stand behind him and welcome him back. And I'm sure Mac told him he'd get his opportunity to compete to win it back. Sure that didn't set well with Daddy. Anyway you're right. Time for Del Rio and the group coming in to get on with it.

Sucks that he's heading to the draft though. Looks like it will be Treon again while the Frosh learn the ropes. I hear he's coming along in his pocket presence and reading defenses. Mac has full confidence in his ability to run his offense next year.

So long as we have a semblance of a running game, I think Del Rio will be fine. He just has to be a game manager. Make some easier throws and hit a few opportune situations. But we need a running game

That doesn't seem to be the case as Grier was scheduled to re-join the team in early January after the bowl game. I think Grier not being with the team the past few months had more to do with the fact that he wasn't going to get practice reps as the focus during the season, with limited practice time, needed to be on getting Harris and the other eligible QBs prepared for the games.
